Drop off and Pick Up 2020
The Harris County Tax Office has established the following updated schedule concerning commercial transactions submitted by Title Services and Franchised/Independent Dealerships at the Distribution Center. We are working with a limited staff due to the county judge’s “Stay at Home Work Safe” order.
Effective Tuesday, April 21, 2020
- Drop off time: 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - This will be the last day to drop off until we can complete the work that has been dropped off last week and this week.
- When we resume drop offs we will e-mail everyone again. Please have form MV-501 ready, completed and attached to the envelope. If you fail to follow any of the directions, it will slow down the entire process for everyone.
- Drop off: 1 package of 10 transactions per authorized person. If anyone drops off more than 10, it will not be processed.
- 1 check per each transaction, or 3 transactions per each check
- You may only pick up packages if you have received a call stating that your transactions are completed and ready for pick up. (Please ensure that you have listed a good phone number on form, MV-501)
- Pick up times will start on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

- Pick up only: You will receive a phone call confirming the completion of your transactions. You will be able to pick up your completed packages from 8:00 a.m.

Harris County webDEALER participants: At this time, pick up for inventory supplies is unavailable.
In addition, the possibility that face-to-face transactions may come to a complete stop, we are considering piloting webDEALER for used dealerships (while our offices are closed) with no inventory. If you are interested, please e-mail AutoTDMV@hctx.net.
