Harris County 2020 Property Tax Statements are in the Mail

Tax Office Offers Several Safe and Convenient Payment Options

Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett announces that nearly one million property tax statements for 2020 are in the mail. All property tax payments are due by January 31, 2021. Property tax statements are also available online at www.hctax.net.

“I encourage property owners to review their property tax bills upon receipt and to choose a safe payment option that is most convenient for them before the January 31, 2021 deadline,” said Bennett.

Property tax payments may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. Credit/debit card, or free e-check payments may be made online at www.hctax.net or by phone at 713-274-(CARD) 2273. Checks and money orders may be mailed to P.O. Box 4622, Houston, TX 77210-4622.

“If a property owner needs assistance, they can call the Tax Office, or request an in-office appointment to discuss their situation. We are here to help,” said Bennett.
