2019 Harris County Property Tax Statements are in the Mail

Tax Office Offers Several Convenient Payment Options

(Harris County, TX) Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett announced that 920,600 property tax statements are in the mail to property owners. All property tax payments are due by January 31, 2020.

“I encourage property owners to review their property tax bills upon receipt. Property owners may pay their tax bills using the payment option most convenient for them, before the January 31, 2020 deadline. I also want property owners to call the
Tax Office with any questions regarding their property tax accounts. We are here to help,” said Bennett.

Property tax payments may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card at all Harris County Tax Office locations. Credit/debit card or e-check payments may be made online at www.hctax.net or by phone at 713-274-(CARD) 2273. Checks and money orders may be mailed to P.O. Box 4622, Houston, TX 77210-4622.

“My staff and I continually conduct Harris County Tax Office Town Hall meetings and Property Tax Workshops throughout the county to help property owners understand their property tax rights and responsibilities. I urge property owners who may need help with property tax questions to attend a Town Hall meeting or a Property Tax Workshop to receive individual assistance about their property tax bills,” added Bennett.

Dates for the Harris County Tax Office Town Hall meetings and Property Tax Workshops are listed on the Tax Office website at www.hctax.net and published on all Tax Office social media platforms. Follow the Tax Office on Facebook @HarrisCountyTACOffice, Twitter @HarrisCountyTAC and Instagram @hctaxoffice for updates.
