Harris County Tax Office Has Trained Almost 200 Employees to Assist Voters on Primary Election Day

Tax Office Election Day Call Center Open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

(Harris County, TX) Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector & Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett announces that the Tax Office will have over 195 trained employees available to assist voters and Election Judges on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

“As Voter Registrar for the nation’s third largest county, I want to help ensure that registered voters are able to cast their ballots without any unnecessary complications,” said Bennett. “My staff is prepared to help voters and Election Judges with any type of voter registration inquiries.”

Election Day assistance will be available to voters by calling the Voter Registration Help Desk at 713-274-8683 (VOTE). Election Judges have been provided a separate telephone line.

“All Tax Office employees available to work in the Election Day Call Center have received extensive training in preparation for the March 3 Primary Election,” added Bennett. “Many of my employees have worked several elections, but they continue to attend Election Day training to make sure that every caller receives the help they need in an efficient and capable manner.”

Voters can also visit www.hctax.net to confirm their voter registration status prior to voting.

The Voter Registration Help Desk will operate from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Voter support will also be available in Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese by calling 713-274-8683 (VOTE).
