HOUSTON – August 29, 2008 – Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Paul Bettencourt announces that the Harris County Tax Office will start collecting property taxes for the City of Humble effective September 1, 2008. The City’s 2008 property tax bills will be included on the combined tax bills sent by the Harris County Tax Office.

    Consolidation of the Tax Offices gives taxpayers the choice of paying property taxes using any combination of credit cards and/or e-Checks online at www.hctax.net, by touch-tone telephone with a credit card by calling 713-368-CARD (2273), or at any of the 16 Tax Office branches.

    “Humble property taxpayers will have complete access to their tax bill information by getting “online” instead of “in-line” at www.hctax.net,” said Bettencourt. “The bottom line is, as a result of this tax bill consolidation, Humble’s property taxpayers will save time and the City will save substantial costs,” he added.

    For individual property tax assistance, City of Humble taxpayers may visit any of our 16 Tax Office branches or call 713-368-2000. (The closest Tax Office for Humble taxpayers is the Humble Tax Office located at 7900 Will Clayton Pkwy.
