HOUSTON – November 16, 2007 - Harris County Tax Assessor - Collector Paul Bettencourt announces that the Tax Office is now collecting property taxes for the City of Jersey Village.

       This year’s 2007 property tax bills will be sent from the Harris County Tax Office and recent delinquent tax bill notices have referred taxpayers to the County as well.

       Consolidation of the Tax Offices gives taxpayers the choice of paying property taxes using any combination of credit cards and/or e-Checks online at www.hctax.net, or by touch-tone telephone with a credit card by calling 713-368-CARD (2273).

       “City of Jersey Village property taxpayers will have complete access to their tax bill information online at www.hctax.net,” said Bettencourt. “The bottom line is that the consolidation of the City of Jersey Village’s property tax bill into the combined Harris County bill will save taxpayers time and substantial cost saving to the City,” he added.
