There are more 200 automobile and light truck registration renewal locations in Harris County. Most of these service partners are grocery stores and AAA offices. These locations can help you with automobile and light truck registration renewals only.

If your renewal notice requires that you obtain new license plates (as well as a new registration sticker), you will have to go to one of the Tax Office branch locations to get your plates.

Please remember, to use one of our service partners you must have your proof of insurance and the renewal notice with you in order to get the registration renewed. These limited service locations charge $1.00 in addition to the normal renewal fee.

If you need to renew the registration of other types of vehicles or trailers, you must use one of the Tax Office branch locations.
