2017 Property Tax Statements are being delivered

Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector encourages all to pay on-line!

Houston, TX – Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector & Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett announced today that nearly 1 million property tax bills are in the mail and on their way to Harris County property owners.

Taxpayers should review their bills carefully to ensure the proper exemptions have been applied. If an exemption has not been correctly applied, please contact the Harris County Appraisal District at 713- 957-7800. If your bill has not arrived by November’s end, please check the Harris County Tax Office website, www.hctax.net, to confirm if the Harris County Appraisal District has certified your property’s value.

“I want to encourage property owners to pay their bills as soon as possible before the January 31 deadline,” said Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett. “Our office offers many payment options and plans to help property owners. Our goal is to make the process as simple and convenient for the property owner as possible. We want to encourage taxpayers to pay their property taxes at www.hctax.net. If Hurricane Harvey has affected your property and you cannot pay your property tax bill in full before the January 31, 2018, deadline, the Harris County Tax Office offers a payment plan to disaster victims which allows you to make 4 equal payments without penalty and interest over a period of several months.
